Gallery TENComing soon an all new show Summer Colour at Gallery TEN – we are delighted to be showing some new works by Jonathan Meuli and some exciting new glass from Stuart Akroyd – alongside them we have three new artists to the gallery – Alan McPherson with new paintings – Rupert Merton with his beautiful ceramics and Cecile Gilbert with her acrylic jewellery.
We will be bringing a great collection of glass to the Edinburgh Art Fair. This will be representative of the glass artists whose works Gallery TEN has shown in the last year. It ranges from the the functional to the sculptural. Artists will include Laura Birdsall, Lindean Mill, Peter Layton, Alan Horsley, Jonathan Rogers & Yoshiko Okada, plus others.
We are delighted to add Stuart Akroyd to our list of glassmaking artists. Stuart produces a wide range of glass wares both decorative and functional including a number of popular scent bottle designs.
Extraordinary piece of cast glass work from Alan Horsley this small but beautifully formed glass sculpture is called “Leviathan I” and is now on display in Gallery TEN, do try and get to see it. It is remarkable!
This week sees the arrival of two sets of new works. New glass artist to Gallery TEN Laura Birdsall has given us some beautifully made and quite stunning bowls in great colours. If you are not familiar with her work and love glass this is a must see. Also some new Raku pieces by ceramicist Dave Cohen, vase, sculpture, cockerel, fantasy all rolled in one ceramic piece!
We have just got out new wave from Graham Muir Glass in the gallery. Even bigger than the last one I think! Graham has brought us another of his fabulous glass wave forms which is now sitting in Gallery TEN. If you get the chance get along and see it.
